Katy Perry's 'E.T.' Video Debuts
Katy Perry fans around the world are eagerly anticipating the debut of her new music video for her single, "E.T.," in which the pop star goes through an out of this world transformation.
Perry goes through a drastic makeover for the video, appearing as an alien-like woman, The Huffington Post described.
Her skin is painted a lavender shade of purple and her face is painted to look like an alien, all the while sporting a very unique head dress that just accentuates the whole ensemble.
Photos of her costume can be seen at Idolator .
The "E.T." video will premiere at noon ET today on MTV.com, VH1.com and LogoTV.com; and will appear on air at 7:53 p.m. ET, MTV.com reported. The song also features Kanye West.
Perry told MTV that she is excited with the feedback she is hearing about her album "Teenage Dream," and the excitement of her fans with each new music video she debuts. Her goal is to make it a cinematic experience every time.
"With 'Teenage Dream' the record in whole, I knew I wanted to give so many different flavors, so many different ideas, and just make a different 'movie' for each song. I feel like I've done that," Perry told MTV.
Billboard reported that "E.T." has rocketed to the number one spot on The Hot 100 charts, as of March 30.
"Teenage Dream" is the one of the few albums in history to produce four number one hits: "Teenage Dream," "Firework," "California Gurls" and now "E.T." Mariah Carey's debut album is the last solo female artist to have done so, and that was back in 1991.
"I am so thrilled that 'E.T.' has landed at No. 1. I want to thank all the fans who contributed to this amazing feat and radio, which has been an essential part of my continued existence. I truly appreciate all the support of my creative twists and turns," Perry told Billboard.
